Thankyou to all my lovely friends on BAF for your messages and texts of support regarding my hip replacement.
I got home yesterday and it went very well, going to be on crutches for 6 weeks but because it's a redo I won't really feel back to normal for at least 3 months. I have been keeping busy and doing lots of positive lists and writing with the lovely pen you all kindly got me, once again thankyou.

Be really lovely to see everyone again.
I'm not feeling too sociable at mo, partly to do with exhaustion but mainly because I feel and look really yuck. I suffer with mild BDD and my right leg has swollen up and looks like a tree trunk so it has triggered off feelings of self revulsion about my body . My aim, when I am well, is too cycle and get fit and well again as I feel "huge". Also starting some therapy for my OCD, anxiety problems around June. I need to keep my mind focused and keep to some kind of routine otherwise scared the black cloud will loom and that scares me to death especially being stuck at home.
Alex once again thankyou for Matt's wonderful speaker cake, I really can't wait to show him on Monday with all his pressies. Big hugs to everyone....Eli xx
