Anyone tried Buspirone for anxiety?

Hi Guys,

I found this link about G.A.D. and was interested to read about Buspirone being a possible drug treatment.

I took a print out along to my doctors today and she agreed it might be useful to try, so has referred me to a psychiatry unit to investigate using it. It can not be proscribed by GPs directly.

I'm a big CBT fan, but I think I'd benefit from a trying some anti anxiety drugs.  I'm quite used to weird side effects, so it'll be interesting to see what this does.   

Has anyone here got experience of Buspirone?

   Hi Fragm, 
                  I do not suffer with GAD but as this drug probably increases Seratonin, much like the drugs I take now, perhaps it'll be used for other anxiety conditions too. I'm always very happy for someone else to be the Guinea, good luck !!
