Peer Support 4 Mental Health
« on: August 22, 2010, 08:17:06 PM »
Hi everyone,

For the past few months we've been working together with other local mental health relate peer support groups to find out how we all work, share ideas about training, promotion, funding and other resources.

I've just finished the first stage of the website which will hopefully become a valuable resource for groups like ours in Brighton, Hove and Sussex.

Looking good! I had no idea there were so many other support groups around. Good to see "men get eating disorders too" on there! I'm glad there's a forum for that, because so many others are dominated by women, and although we welcome men, not many stick around. I guess it may seem intimidating, particularly at first.

Brilliant Noisy.

I think the Brighton Anxiety Forum is an inspiration for anybody. So many of us have really gained from being part of it. It is great that BAF is networking with other groups in Brighton.

Just had a quick look but all looks and sounds very professional so far  ;) looks like you've been really busy behind the scenes and it's good to see local groups coming together to support eachother and their members  :)

Hey stresspuppy we posted 14 seconds apart, I wonder if that is a new BAF record?

You posted just as I was about to post and I got an alert - I decided not to check the other post before posting and glad I didn't - excellent concise post from you  ;)
